Staxtonbury Family Music Festival: promoting the finest local bands and singers from the north east.

Come along and enjoy some homegrown talent! We've the best in local bands and singers ready to celebrate the summer with you, plus a special guest appearance from Neil Pennock, one of the UK's top saxophonists, on Friday and Saturday.

Friday opens with Tom Taylor in Bet Swagger, Big Me and Blue Alibi, playing classic rock covers of 70s, 80s and 90s hits, plus we welcome local talent Amber Carey.
Saturday showcases modern brass band Simply Brass, céilidh band Tablets of Stone and an acoustics set by the talented Graeme Wright. Also appearing will be local star Mark Stanley with a voice that truly melts hearts, and Chris Wardle singing Robbie Williams favourites. Then crank up the volume for Pickering-based teenage band Loud Noises, followed by Amber Carey and Blue Alibi, as they get the crowd rocking like only they know how.
Sunday continues the celebrations (if anyone has any energy left) with some great performances from Grand Urge, Cocophony (two ladies from York Coast College) and Alice and Lee (also from YCC) - perfect for a summer Sunday afternoon.

Hosting the event will be local heartthrob Jez Pratt and local celebrity Hannah Creelman, which promises to be a dynamic partnership.
